Description:
Join for a lovely Thursday evening of painting a Prickly Pear Cactus, nibbling on some snacks & shopping. I have teamed up with the local boutique urbAna to host a 2 hour watercolor class!
The style is wet on wet, which is a looser form of painting and more forgiving. All skill levels are welcome! Focusing on observation we will do quick compositional sketching with paint. Watercolor is ideal working with loose brushstrokes and layered details for fun blending.
The class includes all material. You will receive a kit with everything you need, and there is always extra paint and paper leftover that you can take home and continue your practice! Hooray! You will be painting on a tan mixed media sheet to get a different effect with the watercolor.
Included: watercolor paper, watercolor paint, watercolor brush, guide sheet, paper towel + guided teaching, sips & private shopping experience
Take is as a lovely evening for yourself or with a friend or loved one! It kicks off your summer of creativity and FUN! ALL SKILL LEVELS! It is all about fun!
The purpose of my workshops is to help you embrace your creative spirit and take creative chances together. In the process I want you to experience something new and have fun. This is why my workshops are open to all skill levels, so whether you have never picked up a paint brush or paint on the regular, I structure my classes to be open to all students.
urbAna is a lovely local boutique that offers a fun mix of home goods and celebrations. You can’t leave without finding something you love! I know, believe me :) They have graciously offered their space to host in their NEW GILBERT LOCATION! It is located at the Epicenter, right next to Agritopia farm.
Rachel graduated with her BFA in Painting and since has taught 1000’s of students how to create beautiful pieces through watercolor.
