about the artist behind Pink Puddle Studio

Hi! My name is Rachel Eskandari and I am a watercolor artist in Arizona and the founder of Pink Puddle Studio. Born and raised in the beautiful desert, I am naturally inspired by my surroundings and the unique beauty of the Southwestern landscape.

I enjoy creating colorful botanical watercolor paintings, vibrant landscapes, and serene nature scenes with unconventional color schemes and a dreaming intention, working outside the boundaries of reality. My style combines whimsical imagery with loose, expressive brushstrokes, focusing on texture, color, and the unexpected possibilities of watercolor.

Through Pink Puddle Studio, I create original paintings, art prints, watercolor painting kits, guides, and other creative goods that bring a little more color into everyday life. I also offer custom artwork and commissions, as well as wholesale products for retailers looking for colorful, distinctive art and gifts.

As an educator, I strive to empower others to be creative, work through fear, be brave, and embrace the creative journey. I bring this philosophy into my in-person and online watercolor workshops, as well as through my painting kits, guides, Instagram, and YouTube tutorials. I've had the joy of teaching watercolor workshops nationally for both corporate groups and creative communities.

I earned my BFA in Painting from Arizona State University and am the author of Watercolor Botanical Garden: A Modern Approach to Painting Bold Flowers, Plants, and Cacti.
