Description:

Flowers are such an inspiration to me and I love learning to paint them different ways. In this class you will discover the soft edges and flowing pigment as you learn to paint dreamy, whimsical peonies in watercolor.

In this online class, we’ll let color bloom freely across the page, it is very freeing creating on larger watercolor paper, 11×14 and larger.

In this beginner-friendly space we will release perfection and lean into the magic of watercolor. You’ll discover how pigments dance and mingle, creating luminous layers, velvety shadows, and airy, romantic florals with just a few expressive brushstrokes, playing with different brush types: oval, flat and round.

Material Suggestions:

I suggest 11x14 or larger sheets of coldpress watercolor paper . Here is the link to 11x15 pads and larger strathmore pads.

I suggest: a variety of watercolor paint : corals, pinks, lilacs, warm yellows, greens

Mix of watercolor brushes: #12 oval, #12 flat, #12 round and larger, cloth or paper towel, 2 cups of water, and artist tape.
