Description: :Living in the Arizona desert I am inspired a lot by my surroundings. I created this class to teach you how to paint the basic fundamentals of Landscape Painting in this desert scene: foreground, middleground and background. We walk through a whole landscape painting together, and learn color mixing, the purpose of lights and darks and much more!
Purchasing the kit for this class will be really helpful because not only will you get the basic materials to paint :
Watercolor paint palette with 7 colors
Two watercolor Brushes : #6 and a detail brush
Watercolor paper for practice and color swatching
You will ALSO RECEIVE:
1 8x10 Watercolor Art Board to paint the landscape on
The option of 2.5hr+ live instruction or Replay by Rachel of Pink Puddle Studio
Outline of the landscape design, with tracing paper attached
Pencil
Handout with final painting and painting tips
To be more green, I tested a Swedish dish cloth in place of the paper towel, since I always use it as a tool in watercolor painting. The absorbance is amazing and replicates a paper towel very well, so I designed some this Fall and this is my first time putting one in each kit! You can reuse it over and over and it has a custom colorful mountainscape outline design I created, that once it absorbs color from your painting it fills the outline with a fun design.
The outline included in the kit can be used not only for this class but if you want to practice painting it multiple times, you can. The outline also will help you feel more at ease if you are a beginner and are not use to drawing out a composition.
Watercolor is such a relaxing medium, from teaching over 300+ workshops I notice the room goes silent sometimes with concentration and everyone gets in tune with their creativity but then there are breaks of laughter and discovery. I have found the first mark is always the most challenging for people so when you join me I promise we will ease into it together and it will not seem so scary.
The purpose of my workshops is to have fun and enjoy yourself while hopefully learning a few new skills that you didn’t have prior to the class. As long as you have fun expressing yourself then that is a win win all around! So whether you have never picked up a paint brush or paint palette on the regular, I structure my classes to be open to all students
Kit will be open for purchase until September 6 so they can ship in time!
All skill levels are welcome, even beginners!!
