Spring Watercolor Workshop : Botanicals Native to Greece!
Event: New Spring Watercolor Workshop : Botanicals Native to Greece
Date: June 1, 2025
Time: 9:30 am Arizona Time
Type: Virtual, Zoom, if you canβt join live you will get a replay!
Join me for a creative session dive into the botanicals natively grown in Greece. I want to take you out of the desert and into the world to explore all of the beauty in nature it has to offer. Think of it as an early holiday break. We will focus on a variety of 6 different plants that highlight the beauty of Greece:
The Olive Branch, Greek Peony, Conehead Thyme, Hellebore, Lemons and Figs.
The color palette is going to be a mix of deep purple, night blue, rich red, yellow and greens.
All skill levels are welcome!
Suggested materials:
Watercolor paints - a mix of deep purple, night blue, rich red, yellow and greens.. If you donβt have the exact colors donβt worry, you can still work with what you have!
Mixing Palette (you can use a ceramic plate or a palette you have)
Brushes - watercolor brush size 6 or 8 round and 1 or 2 for details
2 x Cups of Water, so you can use one for lighter colors and the other for darker colors
Paper Towels
8 Sheets Watercolor paper - Iβll be using my 140lb cold press Strathmore Vision paper but any 140lb/300gms watercolor paper will work. I suggest the 140lb because it helps keep the structure
Scrap watercolor paper, if you have, to test colors
Dress in your best Grecian garbs, hehe! I like to dress the theme, so join me!
