$30.00

Harvest Evenings: Watercolor Apples

Date: November 20, 2025

Time: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Arizona time

Where: Online ZOOM!. You will receive a replay if you can’t join live for 30 days.. you will receive the zoom link the day before the session

Description:

Slow down before the holiday rush with a calming evening of watercolor painting. We’ll focus on plump, juicy apples, capturing their warmth and charm — perfect for a seasonal still life. This class is ideal for all skill levels and offers a cozy, relaxing way to spend your Thursday night. Treat yourself to a little creative self-care before the festivities begin!

We will be painting more loosely, using a wet on wet technique.

If you would rather paint it with just watercolors that is totally fine! This is a great opportunity to experiment with new materials, so if you have never tried inks, I really recommend it! Even if you just get a red colored ink, that could really add to imagery we are painting in this workshop!

You can also water down your watercolors to create an ink like consistency if you wanted to but they won’t be as pigmented.

Material Suggestions:

I suggest a 8x10 or 11x14 sheet. I will be working from an 11x14 watercolor coldpress paper from strathmore vision. Here is the link for9x12 and the11x15 pads.

I suggest: a variety of inks and watercolor paint, think fall colors : yellows, oranges, crimson, sepia, greens, watercolor sketchbook/coldpress watercolor paper, mix of round watercolor brushes: #2, #6, cloth or paper towel, 2 cups of water, and artist tape. If using inks here are the ones I will be using CLICK HERE

If you ever need some inspiration for watercolor materials check out my youtube video https://youtu.be/EdQrL4giypE

The purpose of my workshops is to help you embrace your creative spirit and take creative chances together. In the process I want you to experience something new and have fun. This is why my workshops are open to all skill levels, so whether you have never picked up a paint brush or paint on the regular, I structure my classes to be open to all students.

Rachel graduated with her BFA in Painting and since has taught 1000’s of students how to create beautiful pieces through watercolor.
