Join me March 23rd at Urbana to learn and practice a common watercolor technique; wet into wet.
What I love about this technique is that you are able to really play with the paint/water ratio. The watercolor absorbs into the paper like a wash and creates a beautiful design, slowly as it dries.
This workshop will teach you to experiment with color layering through painting desert succulents. Succulents come in all colors and shapes, which makes them a unique subject matter. Your brush, paper and water/paint ratio are your most important tools and I will teach you how to create something beautiful
You may not be a painter but I feel that if you experiment with one outlet it has the potential to lead you to your true passion. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged. Take it as an evening of fun and creativity channeled through a brush, in this 3 hr course! We will go over materials, stroke practice, wet into wet technique and I will give you one on one direction to make the class as successful and enjoyable for you as possible!
All materials are supplied. You will take home a technique handout, color swatch, your practice sheets, a final piece and loads of knowledge that you can use for your future watercolor practice!
