Boyce Thompson Arboretum Desert Landscape

I am so excited to be taking my workshops to Boyce Thompson Arboretum !! An adventure into the wild!

June 11th from 10-1pm!

Boyce Thompson is the oldest  botanical garden in Arizona, the largest as well. Located in the Sonoran Desert. It has a mixture of over 2500 plant species included in the greenhouses, rose garden, herb garden, cactus garden, mountain areas, etc!

They focus is on educating the public as well as being a place for research and conservation.  With this is mind, I think it is a perfect place to hold a workshop! Think about all the different species of plants you will be able to explore as well as have the opportunity to paint them.

The workshop will be held in the cool indoors in The Smith Lecture Room  but you will be able to go around the arboretum and take in your surroundings, take photographs for inspiration, explore!  If you have taken any of my other desert workshops this one is with the added element of combining multiple plants into one painting. Adding more of the landscape quality! I will be teaching you how to watercolor common desert plants and landscape that you can apply to your piece.  This is the perfect workshop for the nature lover! ALL skill levels are welcome!!

After the workshop you are also covered to stay at the Arboretum until close, keep adventuring throughout the lush space! (the ticket will include your admissions). All materials included. We will have a break so feel free to bring something to munch on, especially if you plan on staying past the workshop!
